Tram Nguyen's story is one of resilience and determination. Born in Saigon, Vietnam, in 1965, she spent the first 21 years of her life there before embarking on a new chapter in the United States. Growing up in a bustling household with one older sister, one younger sister, and four younger brothers, Tram learned the value of family and hard work early on. Her father's military service and her mother's role as the family's primary financial provider instilled in her a deep respect for both education and the importance of supporting loved ones. Settling in Texas with her family, Tram encountered numerous obstacles, including language barriers and educational challenges. Despite these hurdles, she remained steadfast in her pursuit of learning, eventually enrolling at Houston Community College. There, she delved into the fields of business and administration. Tram's career journey unfolded over three decades, marked by significant roles in finance and accounting. From her beginnings at Tenneco Energy Trading and Marketing to her leadership positions as a Director of Finance and Accounting Special Projects at Sequent Energy Management, she exhibited a remarkable aptitude for leadership and a strong work ethic. Alongside her professional endeavors, Tram found fulfillment in giving back to her community through volunteering and charitable efforts. Her hobbies, including baking and photography, provided her with moments of joy amidst her busy schedule.
