Tozoyo Watanabe

There is not much information on Tozoyo Watanabe and his family. He was born in 1884 in Japan and moved to Webster in 1905. At some point, he married Kisayo, born in 1891, and had two sons and five daughters. According to the 1940 census, Ella was the eldest, then Ken, Richard, and Alice. The remaining children are Mae, Rola, and Mary. Tozoyo was initially a rice farmer before he became an operator for a truck farm. In 1962, he decided to sell his farm and moved to Houston. He passed away in November of 1963. As of 1976, Kisayo Watanabe was living in Houston with one of her daughters and had 15 grandchildren.
